Viksit Bharat @ 2047, India's
vision to become a developed country by 2047, calls for a complementary
approach to digital transformation and sustainable development. This essay
examines how innovative digital technologies combined with sustainable business
practices can create a well-organized path for India's resilience and long-term
growth. The old business paradigms, which were mainly concerned with maximizing
profits, are gradually giving way to models that include social inclusion,
environmental stewardship, and strong governance. Simultaneously, digital
transformation—driven by cloud computing, blockchain, artificial intelligence
(AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT)—has reshaped the strategic and
operational capacities of companies in a variety of industries.
In order to promote
innovation, scalability, and inclusive development, this study suggests a
strategic model that combines digital capabilities with sustainable business
practices. The suggested model stresses energy efficiency, digital literacy,
data-driven governance, circular economy principles, and green supply chains,
all of which are in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It
highlights important issues like resistance to change, lack of awareness of ESG
compliance, digital divide, and infrastructure disparity. The study offers
practical solutions to these problems, such as human capital development, tech-enabled
MSME support, public-private partnerships, and policy reforms.
